Very cool!
A very good idea for a game! I wish I would have thought of it first... Anyway, here are some things:
1.) I don't think you made it weird enough. I'm not talking about graphics: those are good. I mean the stuff you do and see. Your subconscious takes everything you've seen, heard, felt, ect. that day and jumbles it all together. That's why dreams are weird. What you saw on TV, what you did that day, what you thought about, who you saw. The way you put it in your description, you make it sound like one big dream(technically in a coma, you're body is in perma-sleep, a.k.a. asleep and can't wake up). Although it had really nice ideas(like that inflating black guy who's stuck in the sewer. I loled at that), it could be a smidgen better.
2.) I'm with Davoo! (about all the bizarre game stuff and the things about portal). What I really like what you did with this game is that you made the background light sand colored and rosey(the red), but you still managed to keep the mysterious feel because all of the characters were shaded and in the dark. I love the bizarre games: they are just cool because you can put whatever you want in the game and make it fit if you do it right. And that's what you did. Congratz.
3.) This is the part where I don't agree with Davoo: the music. The best thing about the bizarre genre is the mysterious, kind of spooky and scary feel to them, and with Coma, the graphics did it, but the music didn't. When you're in your creepy house in the beginning, all you hear is the wind. Which is fine, by all means! But I think that it could be better. For instance, some piano key minors mixed with the wind would make an anxious feel to it, like someone gonna jump out at you. In the red fields place thingy majig(lol), the music was okay, but it could have been creepier. Your music sounds like its trying to be mysterious and jumpy andspooky and all that good stuff, but it's not. I'd suggest tenser music, to make the player feel like there's going to be something big happening. Unfortunatley, there is no climactic ending! You have to make at least some sort of challenge at the end and make it monumental: you've been building up the whole game for the end: do something with that energy! Make the boss your worst nightmare! It's a coma: a giant dream! Make the end a nightmare!
